ZERO CASING® and ZERO+ CASING® Construction

MarCraft® Custom HVAC Systems manufactures high performance ZERO CASING® and ZERO+ CASING® units to satisfy stringent air leakage requirements while offering significant operational savings to you, our customer.
 
The ZERO CASING® equipment offers a construction alternative to the traditional “no thru metal” equipment using extruded aluminum frames without significantly increasing the price of the unit.  The MarCraft design allows for the same or different materials to be used for interior and exterior skins.  ZERO CASING testing may be performed at the factory for the following attributes: 

     Deflection
     Leakage
     Airflow
     Electrical and control function
     Vibration

The equipment is fully controlled with a MarCraft controls package.  
 
MarCraft offers its TRUCustom™ flexibility in the ZERO CASING product, allowing total flexibility in materials of construction, insulations, arrangement, and footprint.  ZERO CASING offers the benefits of ZERO through metal from interior to exterior, offering superior thermal performance.  ZERO Leakage, defined as less than ¼ of 1% at 18” w.c. positive or negative pressure; ZERO deflection, defined as less than L/480 at 18” w.c. positive or negative pressure; ZERO water penetration without the need for sealants; and ZERO standard modules offering a TRUCustom product solution.
 
In addition, all MarCraft units are constructed with Reverse Panel™ Construction, meaning they have smooth, washable interiors that are IAQ and maintenance friendly.  ZERO CASING exteriors are smooth as well and have minimal fasteners reducing possible CASING leakage points.  It should be noted that CASING leakage is a far bigger contributor to energy loss than radiated energy due to R-value of the CASING system.  CASING leakage at 1% airflow contributes more than 70% more energy loss than that radiated from the CASING on industry standard 2” wall construction.
 
MarCraft specializes in “clean sheet” designs that fit all special applications and project requirements.  Special construction materials are available, including aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized or any combination thereof.  MarCraft offers piping, wiring, custom DX packages, and controls packages, as well as packaged mechanical rooms providing complete systems.
